Steel futures maintain rebound on demand
Demand, which had been subdued since the beginning of last week, recovered a little and continued to push up Chinese rebar and hot rolled coil futures on Tuesday, Kallanish notes.
On the Shanghai Futures Exchange the October rebar contract closed CNY 101/tonne higher than Monday at CNY 5,128/t ($804/t), and the same contract for HRC closed up CNY 83/t at CNY 5,437/t.
