Steel futures fall on inventory growth
Inventory data undermined market prices on Thursday, after Chinese rebar and hot rolled coil futures had fluctuated over the week, Kallanish notes.
On the Shanghai Futures Exchange the January 2022 rebar contract closed CNY 155/tonne lower than Wednesday at CNY 5,442/t ($841/t), and the October 2021 contract for HRC closed down CNY 124/t at CNY 5,777/t.
