Steel futures fluctuate lower on squeezing transactions
Transaction volumes in domestic spot markets have slowed down as more buyers chose to wait and see under high price pressure. Rebar and hot rolled coil futures thus continued to fall slowly on Wednesday, Kallanish notes.
On the Shanghai Futures Exchange, the May 2022 rebar contract closed CNY 49/tonne lower than Tuesday at CNY 4,907/t ($777/t), and the same contract for HRC closed down CNY 99/t at CNY 5,121/t.
