Steel futures fluctuate as inventory decline accelerates
Chinese rebar and hot rolled coil futures continued to fluctuate at the current level on Thursday, with higher closing prices and lower intraday transaction prices, Kallanish notes.
On the Shanghai Futures Exchange, the most-traded January 2024 rebar contract closed CNY 29/t higher than Wednesday at CNY 3,644/t ($498/t), and the same contract for HRC gained CNY 18/t to CNY 3,765/t.
