Steel futures fall slightly in calmer market
Chinese rebar and hot rolled coil futures continued to fall slightly on Tuesday. With no news to support sentiment, declining demand continued to weaken market expectations, Kallanish notes.
On the Shanghai Futures Exchange the October rebar contract closed CNY 4/tonne lower than Monday at CNY 4,885/t ($754/t), and the same contract for HRC closed down CNY 17/t at CNY 5,153/t.
