Steel futures fall from one-month highs
Chinese rebar and hot rolled coil futures continued to rise on Monday night, but they fell slowly on Tuesday after touching a one-month high. Additional output reductions in Tangshan and Zhejiang were not effective enough to offset weak demand, Kallanish notes.
On the Shanghai Futures Exchange, the most-traded October 2022 rebar contract closed CNY 47/t lower than Monday at CNY 4,089/t ($605/t), and the same contract for HRC closed down CNY 50/t at CNY 4,049/t.
