Steel futures fall again under supply pressure
Major research institutes reported on Thursday weekly finished steel output reaching a two-month high. This quickly dragged down Chinese rebar and hot rolled coil futures, which had been fluctuating at higher levels, Kallanish notes.
On the Shanghai Futures Exchange, the most-traded January 2023 contract closed CNY 35/t lower than Wednesday at CNY 3,642/t ($528/t), and the same contract for HRC closed down CNY 40/t at CNY 3,727/t.
