Steel futures end slump but sentiment remains weak
After a two-day slump, Chinese rebar and hot rolled coil futures stabilised on Wednesday. However, sentiment in the market remained weak, Kallanish notes.
On the Shanghai Futures Exchange, the January 2023 rebar contract replaced October 2022 as the most-traded and closed CNY 16/t higher than Tuesday at CNY 3,677/t ($533/t), and the same contract for HRC closed up CNY 35/t at CNY 3,767/t.
