Steel futures end October at two-year lows
Chinese rebar and hot rolled coil futures ended October with dramatic slumps on Monday, touching their lowest levels since May and July 2020 respectively, Kallanish notes.
On the Shanghai Futures Exchange, the most-traded January 2023 rebar contract closed CNY 93/tonne lower than Friday at CNY 3,397/t ($498/t), while the same contract for HRC lost CNY 73/t to CNY 3,457/t.
