Steel futures edge down after gains
Chinese rebar and hot rolled coil futures edged down insignificantly on Wednesday after two days of gains, remaining volatile as both policy and fundamentals showed no changes, Kallanish notes.
On the Shanghai Futures Exchange, the most-traded October 2023 rebar contract closed CNY 17/tonne lower than Tuesday at CNY 3,751/t ($522/t), while the same contract for HRC lost CNY 15/t to CNY 3,851/t.
