Steel futures climb further from 4-year lows

Chinese rebar and hot rolled coil futures closed higher on-day on Tuesday mainly due to the pull-up at the end of the trading day, Kallanish notes. On the Shanghai Futures Exchange, the most-traded October 2024 rebar contract closed at CNY 3,172/tonne ($444/t) on Tuesday, up CNY 16/t from the prior trading day.
