Turkeys steel exports fall further in April, imports rise
The falling trend in Turkey’s steel exports continued in April with a -3.2% year-on-year decline to 1.58 million tonnes, Kallanish learns from the Turkish Steel Producers Association (TCUD). In terms of value, these exports decreased -19.1% y-o-y to $1.11 billion.
In March, the country’s steel exports had edged down -0.2% y-o-y to 1.58mt, while their total value fell -15% to $1.13 billion.
