Steel Dynamics adds new coiling equipment
US steelmaker Steel Dynamics Inc plans to add a new billet welder and spooler line at its Columbia City, Indiana, works, Kallanish reports.
Industrial services company Danieli will provide the equipment, which is expected to be able to process 240,000 tonnes/year of rebar and rounds.
Financial details of the order were not disclosed. The equipment is slated for commissioning in late 2018.
