Stalprodukt exports to Mexico, sees reduced imports
Stalprodukt increased sales of electrical steel sheet by 6.7% on-year in 2019 to 132,341 tonnes and benefited from a -35% slump in imports of the product into Poland to only 9,000t.
Exports comprised 125,048t of sales, up 6.3%, with Mexico, Austria, Italy and Germany taking an 18%, 14%, 12% and 11% share respectively. Local sales rose 13.8% to 7,293t, giving Stalprodukt a 36% share of the market, it says.
