SSAB lifts US plate prices by $40/short ton
US plate producer SSAB Americas is increasing base prices for all plate products by $40/short ton, Kallanish learns from a company letter.
The increase is effective for all shipments beginning the week of 28 April.
A Midwest buyer indicates that other mills are expected to join the increase, which closely echoes similar increases announced in sheet and tubular products.
