SSAB lifts all key figures in second quarter
SSAB achieved year-on-year increases in revenue, profit, production and deliveries in the second quarter, despite experiencing some bottlenecks.
The Swedish group lifted revenue 13% year-on-year in Q2 to SEK 19.3 billion (€1.9 billion/$2.2 billion). Operating profit was SEK 1.6 billion, up SEK 425 million. Crude steel production rose 3% to 2.08 million tonnes and rolled products output rose 2% to 1.94mt. Shipments were 1.81mt, up 4%.
