SSAB to launch new wear-resistant overlay product
Swedish plate specialist SSAB tells Kallanish that it is introducing a new wear-resistant product to the market in next week’s MINExpo exhibition in Las Vegas in the US.
The steelmaker will present a new wear-resistant overlay product known as Duroxite. This overlay is comprised of abrasion resistant materials deposited on top of mild steel or SSAB’s own Hardox wear plate to create an extremely wear resistant compound material.
