SSAB Americas boosts plate by $100/st
US mills are making a new push for higher plate base pricing, Kallanish reports.
SSAB Americas has increased its minimum base prices for non-contract orders by $100/short ton, effective immediately. The company notes that March is currently closed for spot orders.
A Midwest buyer anticipates other mills - notably Nucor - will support the increase.
