Downtrend catches up with Spanish rebar, scrap
Spanish scrap and rebar suppliers tell Kallanish the downtrend seen in the rest of Europe has finally reached their domestic market, despite it still registering strong demand.
Although international movements in recent days have shown signs of stabilisation in scrap and rebar prices, Spanish prices for both products fell twice in ten days.
In scrap’s case, levels decreased by €20/tonne ($23.1/t) between 20-30 September for the new E8 quality.
