Spanish scrap prices finally come down
Spanish scrap prices have finally fallen this week. The movement has come later than expected, in comparison to the main European markets, Kallanish notes.
Prices have decreased by €10/tonne ($11.7/t) for the new E8 quality scrap.
“The move down follows the international market deceleration seen in recent days as well; adjustments in Turkish scrap, however, could force Spanish prices to fall [further] in the coming days,” a local merchant says.
