Spanish scrap, rebar prices continue rising
Spanish scrap suppliers and rebar producers tell Kallanish the domestic market is “boiling” thanks to strong local demand and a shortage of material.
Although international movements in recent days hinted at the first signs of stabilisation in scrap and rebar prices, Spanish prices for both products rose twice in one week.
In scrap’s case, levels have increased by €30/tonne ($36.6/t) in one week for the new E8 quality.
