Spanish scrap prices follow the global weakening
Spanish scrap traders confirmed to Kallanish a further downward price adjustment was made last Friday. According to sources, the reduction follows the global market weakening and reflects subdued domestic demand.
“Scrap prices fell twice in one week or a total of €25 per tonne. New domestic offers are estimated to persist for a while but it is not excluded that there could be a further price correction,” a market participant comments.
