Spain’s scrap prices move up amid maintenance
The Spanish scrap market has adjusted prices upwards again in the first full week of July amid the start of the period of annual scheduled maintenance stoppages at large mills, Kallanish hears from local market sources.
Most scrap qualities in the local market have seen levels up by almost €10/tonne ($11.8/t) and participants anticipate a price stabilisation for the rest of the month.
