Southern Steel remains in the red in Q3
Malaysian steel maker Southern Steel, which reported losses in the fourth quarter of FY23, remained in the red in the third quarter ended 31 March, 2024, dragged by lower steel prices and sales volumes, Kallanish notes.
The firm says in a bourse filing that it posted a net loss of MYR 6.43 million ($1.37m) in the third quarter, as compared to a net profit of MYR 1.66m a year ago.
