Southern Steel narrows losses in first quarter
Malaysian steel maker Southern Steel has reported higher revenue and lower losses in its first financial quarter ended 30 September, 2023, underpinned by higher sales volume and improved margins, Kallanish notes.
The group says in a bourse filing that it narrowed its net loss in the first quarter to MYR 39.59 million ($8.39m) from MYR 64.44m a year ago. The group's revenue for the quarter also rose 4.84% to MYR 601.81m from MYR 574.03m a year earlie…
