Southern Europe boosts Turkey's 2017 hot-rolled flats exports
Turkish hot-rolled (HR) flat steel exports increased 25% in 2017, driven by a surge in shipments to Southern European countries, Kallanish notes from the latest Turkish Statistical Institute (TUIK) data.
Last year's HR flats exports stood at 2.63 million tonnes. Their overall average value/tonne increased to $547/t from $410/t in 2016, calculations made using TUIK data show.
