Southeast Europe’s May steel output continues to decrease
Southeast Europe (SEE) crude steel production decreased again in May, according to the latest worldsteel data monitored by Kallanish. Regional output amounted to 387,800 tonnes, down by 5.1% year-on-year.
In April, SEE production was 401,000t, down by 4.7% on-year (see Kallanish passim).
In January-May, regional production nevertheless increased by 6.4% on-year to 1.83 million tonnes.
