Southeast Europe crude steel output rebounds, down on-year
Southeast Europe (SEE) crude steel production decreased in January-May, according to the latest worldsteel data monitored by Kallanish. Regional output amounted to 1.57 million tonnes, down by -23.8% year-on-year.
In the first four months of the year regional production had fallen -23% on-year.
Serbia was again the largest steel producer among the seven countries of SEE – Bulgaria, Croatia, Slovenia, Bosnia, North Macedonia, Serbia and Moldova.
