South32 delivers record earnings on commodity prices tailwind
Australian miner South32’s underlying earnings for the financial year ended 30 June 2022 surged 432% to $2.6 billion from $489 million a year ago, underpinned by a significant tailwind from commodity prices, Kallanish notes.
The miner's underlying revenue was also up 45% to $10.63 billion from $7.32 billion.
