South Korean steel industry remains below 2019 level
South Korea is expected to produce 72.1 million tonnes of finished steel in 2021, up 2.7% year-on-year. However, the expected production is still lower than the 73.6mt produced in 2019, Korean Iron & Steel Association bilateral communication channel manager Derek Wang said at the SEAISI e-conference last Friday.
