South Korean steel exports fall in January
In January, trends of South Korean steel imports and exports diverged, leading to a huge loss in net exports compared with the same period last year, according to data from the South Korean Customs.
Monthly exports of iron and steel under HS code chapters 72 and 73 totalled 2.21 million tonnes, 12.35% lower year-on-year, Kallanish learns. The average realised price, meanwhile dropped faster at 15.15%, touching $1,515/tonne.
