South Korean ferrous scrap imports hike in June
South Korea imported 413,567 tonnes of scrap in June, up 9.4% on-month and 17.7% year-on-year. Intake in the first six months of 2021 was down by 13% y-o-y at 2.1 million tonnes, according to data released by South Korea Customs, Kallanish notes.
