South Korea supports Turkey's April HR flats imports
Turkey's hot rolled flat steel imports increased 14.3% year-on-year to 563,036 tonnes in April, mainly thanks to a surge in intake from South Korea. The total average value of these imports declined to $418/t from $568/t a year earlier, Kallanish calculates from the latest Turkish Statistical Institute (TUIK) data.
The growth in imports follows a -2% y-o-y fall in March, when imports from China plummeted.
