South Korea leads Turkey's May HR flats imports
Turkey's total hot rolled (HR) flat steel imports increased 9.56% year-on-year to 492,343 tonnes in May, supported by increased intake from South Korea, Kallanish notes from the latest Turkish Statistical Institute (TUIK) data.
The total average value/tonne of these imports decreased to $348/t from $580/t a year ago.
South Korea was also the driver of the 14.3% on-year rise in April's HR flats imports.
