South Korea finalises 2050 carbon neutrality plan
The South Korean presidential committee on carbon neutrality has officially finalised two roadmaps to achieve the goal of carbon neutrality by 2050, Kallanish notes.
Both roadmaps call for the cessation of coal power generation by 2050, but they have different recommendations in areas such as power supply, transportation, hydrogen, and carbon capture, utilisation and storage (CCUS).
