South Korea exports more cold rolled stainless steel
South Korea exported 51,946 tonnes of cold rolled stainless steel in March, up 13.2% month-on-month due to active global demand, Kallanish notes from the Korea Iron & Steel Association.
The average deal price, meanwhile, rose by 5.4% m-o-m to $2,651/tonne.
Stainless steel wide strip exports comprised 41,314t – up 15% on-month – of which 31% was exported to Europe.
