South Kaveh Steel targets increased billet exports
Iran’s South Kaveh Steel (SKS) plans to export 60,000 tonnes/month of billet in the Iranian year through 20 March 2018, a company source tells Kallanish. This comes after the firm produced 630,000t and exported 303,000t of the semi-finished product in the previous Iranian year.
Billet production this Iranian year is forecast to reach 900,000t. Semis exports are being targeted at countries in Southeast Asia, as well as Africa and the Middle East.
