Latin American steel production falls in 2019
South American and Mexican crude steel production decreased year-on-year in 2019. In December alone, regional output also fell on-year, according to the latest worldsteel data monitored by Kallanish.
South American crude steel output totalled 41,161,000 tonnes in 2019, -8.4% down on-year. The region's crude steel production reached 3,122,000t in December or -8.7% less y-o-y.
