South American crude steel output dips through January-October
During the first ten months of 2016 South America remained the worst performing area globally in terms of crude steel output, according figures from the World Steel Association seen by Kallanish.
Overall the region saw its output falling by -11.2% y-o-y during the period, to 33 million tonnes. In October the region produced 3.5mt, down over -10% year-on-year.
