South American crude steel output down by 14% in Q1
Regional crude steel output in South America fell by 13.3% year on year in March to 3.2 million tonnes. Production the first quarter of 2016 shrunk by 14.1% y-o-y to 9.4mt, or nearly 1.5mt less compared to the same period in 2015, Kallanish learns from the World Steel Association (worldsteel).
