South Africa's Merafe sees ferrochrome production increase
South Africa’s Merafe Resources Limited (MRL) saw a slight increase in its attributable ferrochrome production from the Glencore Merafe Chrome Venture (JV) in the first quarter, Kallanish understands.
The company recorded an output uptick in Q1 of 3% on-year and 6.1% on-quarter to 103,000 tonnes, from 100,000t in Q1 2022 and 97,000t in Q4 2022, says Merafe, without giving sales or revenue figures.
