South Africa's Merafe increases third-quarter ferrochrome production
South Africa-listed Merafe Resources Limited (MRL) saw an increase in its attributable ferrochrome production from the Glencore Merafe Chrome Venture for the nine months ending 30 September, Kallanish notes.
MRL recorded an on-year output increase in the third quarter of 9% to 84,000 tonnes, from 77,000t in Q3 2021, while nine-month output grew 3.7% to 286,000t, says Merafe.
