Kumba's first-half production decreases despite export growth
South African iron ore miner Kumba, a subsidiary of Anglo American, saw iron ore production decrease 13% on-year in the first half of 2022 to 17.8 million tonnes. Despite this, iron ore exports inched up 1.5% to 19.7mt, while domestic sales were zero, Kallanish notes.
