South African flats July imports decline, longs rise
South African imports of primary carbon and alloy steel products declined -18% on-year to 114,932 tonnes, according to South African Iron and Steel Institute (Saisa) data seen by Kallanish. The figures excluding semis, stainless steel and drawn wire. These imports increased from June, however, by 64%.
