South African first-quarter iron ore output falls
Iron ore production in South Africa fell year-on-year both in March and in the first quarter of 2019, Kallanish learns from the latest data from Statistics South Africa.
Output fell by -1.6% on-year in March but dipped by -5.3% during Q1 2019 on the same comparison. March actually represented something of a recovery following more severe y-o-y falls of -29.2% and -20.7% in January and February respectively.
