South Africa steelmaking raw materials exports increase
South African steelmaking minerals export income in the first half of the year increased by 1.9% on-year to ZAR 88.64 billion ($4.94 billion) on a free on rail (for) basis.
The country's export volumes of steelmaking minerals rose 4.5% on-year to 41.54 million tonnes in H1 versus 39.72mt in H1 2021, Kallanish notes.
