South Africa proposes chrome ore export tax
South Africa’s cabinet has approved measures to support domestic ferrochrome production, including an export tax on chrome ore. Also proposed is the usage of energy efficiency technologies on smelters and the adoption of cogeneration and self-generation technologies.
