Songting Steel restarts capacity replacement project
Tangshan Songting Iron & Steel has restarted its iron capacity replacement project, which was paused because of new requirements from the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology last year, Kallanish notes.
The company has not changed its initial plan, which includes a new 1,500m³ blast furnace with 1.33 million tonnes/year of iron capacity. However, Songting Steel hasn’t announced the construction timetable.
