Sonasid sales fall in 2016, stable in 2017
Sonasid, the main Moroccan long products supplier, reported a fall of -12% year-on-year in its sales in 2016, on the back of lower sales prices for its products, Kallanish understands from the company.
Overall the average price was down -13% y-o-y, Sonasid calculated. In addition to the global negative trend of prices seen last year, the Moroccan longs sector continued to be affected by structural overcapacity and stagnant demand.
