Sonasid first-half results jump on higher prices
Moroccan steelmaker Sonasid reported a 20% on-year jump in revenue in the first six months of the year to MAD 2.4 billion ($227.2 million). The growth was fuelled mainly by higher product sales prices, Kallanish notes.
The company also significantly increased investments during the first half of the year. Sonasid expects to launch in the coming months the production of steel fibre for the construction sector.
